Ashley Park Instagram – my parents’ first date, thirty-something years ago, was at this same theatre where we celebrated @joyridemovie premiere… i know, i know, i fully cried when i found this out the day after the premiere and my heart is still so overwhelmed by this special full circle moment 🥹 and even further, #joyridemovie is officially released in theaters today (7/7) and my parent’s wedding anniversary also happens to be TODAY on July 7! I’m profoundly grateful for so many reasons in this moment, but especially for my beautifully supportive and resilient family… that we all got to be together for my first movie premiere and we all get to celebrate my little sister @audreyhehepark’s wedding in a few months. Im so happy that my dad insisted on seeing a movie to extend his first dinner date with my mom all those years ago… that she said yes… and here we all are. I owe a lot of who I am to how my parents raised me and my sister. And I don’t think they imagined during that first date that they would one day return to watch their daughter on that exact big screen… and that her anniversary gift to them would be the world getting to watch their little girl say and do veryyyy raunchy but wholesome but def RAUNCHY things on screens all over the world.
