Two beautiful souls lost to brain cancer over the past 2 weeks.
Henry was just 3. Johnny just 35. 🥺
Sunday I’m doing the world’s toughest half marathon Point to Pinnacle alongside the Carriesbeanies4braincancer team.
I wasn’t going to ask for money because I know times are tough right now.
But Henry and Johnny are a reminder to just ask…
Ask…Have you got a fiver?
$5 is all we are asking for.
Ask…because they both fought so bravely
Ask…because sadly there will be others.
Ask….even though we’ve asked before and many of you have already given…
Ask….even if all you can give, is a share, a like or remark.
Ask….because this disease cannot be forgiven.
We will ASK until there are no lives lost.
So we are asking for a fiver….(or more if you feel like you can)

The Public Diagnosis
This short film captures the moment Amy Stephenson’s son Lachie was diagnosed with diffuse midline glioma. He was 19.
“The tears were streaking out of my eyes,” Amy recalls. “My world had just been torn apart.” Lachie’s response, “Jeez Mum, we could swim out of here in your tears.”
Amy is making Lachie’s private diagnosis story public to help raise awareness of brain cancer and the urgent need for more research funding.
Brain cancer is a devastating disease. Survival rates have barely improved for 30 years. We need to change this.
Generous families are donating their private diagnosis moments for the public to see.
We hope that sharing these private moments will create widespread attention and help generate more research funding.
Brain cancer is one of Australia’s deadliest cancers. It kills more kids in Australia than any other disease and more people under 40 than any other cancer.
The only way to change these devastating statistics is through more research.
We’d love you to share these stories and help raise awareness and support the @braincancercentre vital research.
