Dalljiet Kaur Instagram – Every year during Navratri festival I get nostalgic and remember the shoot in Baroda for months together for a mythological show called Maa Shakti which narrated the stories of all the Nine Devi’s that we celebrate during Navratri. Memories of shooting and memories of my friends standing by me is something I’ll never forget till the end of my life. Within a few weeks of shooting Jaydon fell severely ill and being the lead of the show I could not skip shooting while my three and a half year old needed medical attention. Vartika, latieka and Vineet reached me in another state on the same day to help me through this. They took care of Jaydon while I would juggle between my the shoot and hospital. Being a single parent was not easy but having such amazing friends made the journey easier. I want to take a moment to thank you @vartikkah @latiekagill and @vineetrainaofficial for helping me at such a crucial stage of my life. Being a part of a mythological show comes with a lot of challenge. Right from wearing heavy jwellery to learning Sanskrit let alone the fact that I even shot in Bhojpuri Sanskrit (I needed help by scripts being displayed in front of me as it was not my language) also learning to use all the weapons for war sequences (trishul, gada, talwaar etc) Devis killed a lot of demon I tell u! I would get up two hours before the shoot around 5:30 in the morning and would go to the garden to learn the fight sequence choreography and get ready for shoot by 8:30 and shoot till 9:30 pm every day. The journey of mythological shows has taught me a lot and I am thankful to Sagar Arts to have given me such amazing opportunities again n again!
