Dawn McCoy Instagram – A Christmas MIRACLE in Palm Springs!🎄 @KellyGoLightly and I were treated to a magical holiday evening at the @miraclepopup at @trussandtwine. With kitschy decor and holiday lights frosting the whole bar, the minute we walked in, we were transported to a festive bar straight out of a holiday rom-com. With carefully (& creatively) crafted holiday-themed cocktails like Hot Buttered Rum, Jingle Balls Nog, the Christmapolitan, (a spiced take on a Cosmopolitan) the Snowball Old-Fashioned (with rye whiskey, gingerbread syrup, aromatic and wormwood bitters and orange essence and is served on top of a large snowball/ frozen shaved ice) and Rudolph’s Replacement, a chai-spiced espresso martini. Best of all, each drink comes housed in its own holiday-themed mug, like a cheeky Santa or SanTaRex mug, which guests can purchase and bring home with them. (You KNOW I took that Santa-dinosaur mug home to Waylon!) As for eats, they offer very traditional Americana Christmas fare – from French onion soup and a Christmas cheese ball to miso honey-glazed ham and beef wellington. I LOVED the Christmas cheese ball – it brought back memories of Christmas in the 80s in Dallas. It was truly a holiday miracle of an experience and I can’t urge you strongly to go make your own holiday memories there!
