Divya is like the house in Wizard Of Oz that just landed up in my world in the aftermath of a hurricane; & I know you might feel the urge to tell me how dangerous it is to make a home out of a person but honestly, it’s too late + I won’t have it any other way. Divya is truly home to the people around her- she’s welcoming, warm, comforting, kind, safe & multi dimensional in ways that continue to baffle us. We all know & adore & opine on the Divya we see on our screens but let me tell you- it gets better & better once you get to know the beating heart behind it all. I feel PRIVILEGED to know her because a minute with her beats any other minute in the day- by a mile. Her empathy, her protection, her perspective, her hustle, her talents, her care, her Herculean ambition, her strength, her courage- she makes you feel SEEN in her glow. How many people can do that?! Divya’s had such an incredibly colourful life so far that it would take many sequels to put it down in a memoir. Everytime we meet, I find out some earth shattering, wildly unpredictable factoid about her- what she studied, where she lived, what her childhood was like. I cannot even begin to describe how interesting it would be to be Divya Agarwal. I mean, move over Orry, Divya is a liver in its truest sense. There is a reason people like her are so rare- because she’s not afraid of the truth. Every time she tells me what I’m doing right, doing wrong or could do better, I hang on every word because I know she doesn’t mince her words & genuinely wants to see her people go from strength to strength. When you find someone who’s intentions, who’s heart is so pure, you keep them. She takes people along, she will always have a kind word to say when you’re down and out, she will provide a safe space and a launchpad for whoever she believes in, she is a giver, a lover, a clown and a beauty queen.
