Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi Instagram – @nyadmovie premiered in theaters last week on October 20th. It will continue to play this week on the big screen worldwide until it debuts on @netflixfilm November 3rd. There have been many special moments especially as we’ve been working on this film for over three years and it’s our “narrative feature” (fiction) debut. With al the suffering in the world it’s been hard to find the words or motivation to share these moments as there are CRITICAL events and issues right now both here and abroad. That said, @nyadmovie is based on the true story of Diana Nyad who woke up at 60 and realized that while the world thinks it’s done with her – she’s not done. Nyad goes on to attempt her dream swim the 110 miles from Cuba to Florida. Working with Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, Rhys Ifans, Chris Tellefsen @jakebraver @claudiomirandadop @alexandredesplatofficial @jimmychin many of whom are parents to daughters and understand the importance of this story.
