It has come to my knowledge that the stuffed animal shown in my earlier post can be interpreted by some as a symbol for antisemitism, which I was completely unaware of. The toy in the picture is a tool often used by autistic people as a way to communicate feelings.

We are of course against every type of discrimination, and condemn antisemitism in all forms and shapes. This is non-negotiable. That is why I deleted the last post.
Greta Thunberg Instagram – Stop the ongoing human rights violations in Sápmi!

The Norwegian energy company Statkraft and the other owners of the illegal Fosen windfarm must demand the Norwegian Government to deliver a solution within the violation reach 1000 days and earmark the money earned on the windfarm to restoring the land back to the reindeer herders on Fosen. The companies can’t profile themselves as green when they own wind turbines that violate the Samis’ human rights.

11th of October, it is 2 years since the Norwegian Supreme Court ruled that the wind turbines on Fosen entail an ongoing human rights violation. Since the huge protests in Oslo earlier this year got worldwide attention and led to an admission and apology from the Norwegian Government, there has been nothing but silence from the responsible ministers. 11.october started a new huge protest for indigenous rights in Oslo (Norway), two years after the Norwegian Supreme court ruled that the windfarm on Fosen is violating the human rights.

We need renewable energy to solve the climate crisis, but indigenous peoples have sacrificed enough in the face of climate change that the society at large has created, and we cannot have renewable energy that violates human rights. Statkraft and other owners must take their responsibility and demand a solution in the Fosen case. This is crucial so that green energy is developed in the right way in the future without encroaching on the rights of the indigenous people.

Let’s stand in solidarity with the young Sámi who are fighting for their basic human rights. This struggle has been going on for centuries, and we cannot accept that the colonization of Sápmi is still happening. Therefore, show your support by sharing this and tag the responsible actors. Please also help spreading the word so that everyone who can be in Oslo now and show their support, come to join the protest – both solidarity activists and activists who want to engage in civil disobedience.
