Kanchi Kaul Instagram – This one was on my list for a while… A 10 kilometer walk both ways give or take! With some very steep, climbs, almost 80 degree inclines , it was an exhilarating experience , offering very rewarding views of the #Sahyadri #mountains once we reached the top. The #trek was such a mix of lush greenery from the monsoons, to parts that were turning brown now and severe, rocky terrain for the most part. #PethFort, also known as #Kothaligad, has a rich history dating back to the 13th century.During the 18th century, Peth Fort witnessed various battles and changed hands between the #Marathas , #Mughals, and the #British. One could literally sense and get a feeling of all the history that would’ve happened there.
