Kate Reinders Instagram – #Wicked20
On June 24th 2005, @katereinders originated the role of Glinda in the Original Chicago Company of Wicked. Becoming the first actor in the show’s history to play the role in a resident production outside of Broadway.
The Chicago production, playing at what is now the James M. Nederlander Theatre, was the first sit down resident company of the show to open outside NYC. Quickly taking on a life of its own and ultimately ending up running for 3 and a half years.
Kate played her final performance in Chicago on January 22, 2006.
Following her Chicago run, Kate joined the Broadway Company, playing the role in NYC from May 30, 2006 through January 7th 2007.
