Happy Birthday to me! This year was a different Birthday. I missed my father’s presence so much.
I was really discouraged, but thank you to the people in my life who encouraged me to celebrate myself and in doing that I celebrate my dad too..
As a build up to my Birthday I spent time with family and friends close to my heart and engaged in activities and places I knew he’d loved.
I was blessed to hear a sermon during this time that said; we are always celebrating moments and things instead of our qualities.
I absolutely loved it, I see so much of my dad in me. So this year to honour him, I want to celebrate my qualities: My strength, my big and kind heart, my generosity, my resilience, my fighting spirit, my compassion for people and situations, my authenticity, my loyalty the list goes on.
He will always be a part of me. And I will always honour that.
You and mom raised a strong woman dad.
I will continue to make you proud.
