Rachel Riley Instagram – This weekend I went home to visit my parents and my Mum took me to visit @svpenglandwales in Southend-on-Sea who she’s run charity events to raise money for, to show me their brilliant work! They’re a soup kitchen, food and clothing bank and a lifeline for people down on their luck, homeless, refugee families, basically anyone who needs some extra help. They also offer support, advice and help with getting roofs over people’s heads and keeping them warm, especially this winter. One memorable stat they gave me was Ukrainian refugees in Southend having to survive on £8 a week having been living in hotel rooms for 18 months. 💔 They’ve just launched their Christmas campaign called #BeMoreThanKind and they’re asking for donations of any description that would help their work this Christmas! I’ll post the link here (may need to paste into a browser) for how to donate money or items if you’re local to Southend. Hopefully this can give a much needed boost to many in need of a helping hand.
