Rhona Mitra Instagram – On two hours sleep I woke at 5.30am today and de-railed all plans to board a train on a mission to meet a handful of a ‘type’ of dog that has been sentenced to execution en mass come December 31st.
Their crime? Looking a certain way.

The breed in question is the XL Bully who due to the mismanagement, ignorance and failure of human beings is now being demonized and tarred with a brush resulting in the determination that all that come under a certain (hugely vague) criteria are either to live a life muzzled or put to death.
The compensation and incentive by the genius UK government is to offer owners a £200 compensation for murdering their healthy, beloved family members.

The utter dystopian insanity of this mandate is not only a pitiful reflection of the desperate shortcomings of our system but the utter spinelessness of the people to allow and even champion this action.

It’s no different and completely akin to saying all men with dark skin and curly hair who talk a certain way are terrorists. Therefore must all go. Absolutely no different. It’s Racial Discrimination 101.

This only empowers the vile and rampant undertones that are already so rife between humans and humans let alone human and animal in a time where unification and forging solutions is and should be our utmost priority.
And yes, there are solutions. There IS another way.

The above is a picture taken of me and my boy Orso aboard two long haul flights to South America where I created my sanctuary where I hope to be able to at least save and transport one sweet life.

It’s hard to believe that only 7 years ago
I was leaving behind a life and system that I had come to realize was nothing but an illusion built on manipulation -Discrimination- polarization- and fear.

These are the simple and yet highly effective ingredients that enable the governing powers to employ the divisiveness that is causing and will lead to the demise of everything.
But the unimaginable suffering we are all seeing and feeling is so very much alive right now.

There is no separation between how we treat animals and how we treat each other. Absolutely none.
If we fail here we fail everywhere.
