Sarah Silverman Instagram – My beloved step-dad, John O’Hara, died 16 years ago today. He was a quiet, kind, beautiful man. His love language was building things – he built the bed I slept on and the porch we spent our summers on. He kept the wood stove going in the winter, and even tolerated my loud obnoxious (adorable) Dad – pictured with him shirtless) He always gave me the classic step-dad side hug and he’d joke “I don’t care what they say — I like you!” but I knew the truth- he loved me. And I hold onto that now more than ever.
