Kere let me share a little bit more about myself since I hardly ever post la ekhaya. Since many of you know me as a loud and expressive skincare enthusiast who beams confidently. Oh Alas, it hasn’t always been that way.
Growing up, my skin wasn’t A1 (Thanks to puberty aka ‘Adolescent’) so that meant that my confidence was taking a nose dive. And IYKYK, self esteem is paramount for girls. I KNEW I HAD TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
So I started learning how I can help myself & that’s when my self care journey began. I started watching YouTube to see what the other girlies were doing because I didn’t grow up with money readily available for me to get dermatological assistance.
So I became my own Dermatologist. Which meant learning about what my skin needs and loves. (Not Medically trained, Of course) WHAT A JOURNEY it’s been! 🤍🌱✨
I’m so glad I got rid of Chong Li’s headpiece for good.
Moral of the story: “if you don’t like your situation, CHANGE IT.”
