In the Spring of 2021, I took my first producing gig in Los Angeles on an anthology feature film perfectly titled “Who am I?” At that time, spending any time or dedicating any resources to art felt like an insane choice to me… why dedicate anything to what felt like fleeting dreams? Was I crazy? Vain? Hopeful? Ambitious? Now a few years later, it feels like spending time and resources to make art is who I am. But at its core, “Who am I?” doesn’t ask me any questions, instead it taught an inquisitive younger version of myself what it is like to be on an indie set, what a dedicated team of young professionals looks and feels like, and planted the seeds of who I was meant to become in a place that wasn’t my hometown, where I could be anyone I wanted to be. Grateful to see my name on the poster and grateful to see this project be brought to the people.
