11 years ago, I had my first live match on @impactwrestling, as I participated in #gutcheck. Everyone was behind me, and believed I would for sure come out with the contract, (Including Taz himself, for a little foreshadowing). To my disbelief, I got dismissed. I got cut and didn’t get the contract. In the backi was met by Bruce Prichard and Al Snow who would both put me over the moon. They said that “I was near perfect, and exactly what they were looking for”(so I prolly shouldn’t of gotten cut then…)and followed up with they’d still absolutely end up signing me…….Well, fast forward and they weren’t wrong. TNA/impact wrestling did end up signomg me. I just didn’t realize it’d be 5 years later! But that’s not all, I didn’t stop there. Not only did I get signed, but I would become the (weapon)X-division, and World Champion. The first and only got check participant to ever win the world title. And,, I didn’t even win gut check to begin with. Ya know, sometimes things just have a way of working themselves out. I got to have arguably the most fun time in my career for 4 years in lucha underground, where I also meet my smoking hot future wife. Then would end up coming back to TNA and conquer the land.
Now with @impactwrestling officially being back this weekend, I’m excited to see what the future brings and what history will be made. Let’s go.
