I was still a youngster when I booked Thief for FX. The excitement over the possibilities of being able to level up, doing better work, stealing and learning whatever game I could from the great @andrebraugher , IF he was that kind of thesp. He was that , and so much more. His generosity , with his time and love. This would lead up to the only Emmy nom I would receive in my career. He stood up and greenlit me to skip a table read so that I could join the LEO’s and community of Cameron Parish who I’d become very close to on a previous film as they were getting ready to cut on their first street light after surviving the horrors of hurricane Rita. The loving letter he wrote in support of my grandfather getting his star on the Walk Of Fame. Andre’s love of craft , both as student and teacher ran deep. The lessons he shared on GLORY I’ll forever keep with me, they are universal. I always looked forward to the hour long phone conversations and laughs we’d share with every new episode we’d receive. We were bank robbers, our story lines had to track or the heists ultimately wouldn’t work. Then the fun and thought on how we were gona pull this off, with all the colorful creative nuances that could potentially make them so memorable, after all, we’re artists, gotta make it interesting. Still, within all these lessons, there was always time to share love of family, for his wife and son. He was so proud, shit, I was proud, with every family update he’d share. All the time and long hours, night shoots til the sun came up spent on set, forges relationships that can literally last a lifetime. This was certainly one of them. Deepest condolences to the family , you are missed! Love you brother ! And big props to my brother in law @jonahr79 (#187) for stealing this beautiful set pic from our premiere after everybody left, some things wonderfully do not change. #Thief #Westworld #Mentors #RestInLovingPower
