This year was full of surreal experiences… milestones and opportunities that weren’t even in my dreams as possibilities. With that in mind, one thing made these moments even more special than they already were… getting to experience them with my sister, my best friend. In honor of her birthday today we’re releasing the entire @redrocksco set so I can cry over and over with how I lucky I felt to be on that stage with my family (that includes you party boiz). We made a commercial for our little mechanic shop and it was clearly too hot for TV. It’s not the first time we’ve heard NO from major networks, and it def won’t be the last time. All jokes aside, @mtv & @adultswim literally did say the backlash they would receive for airing this wasn’t worth the money we were giving them for the airtime, so help us spread it around. Thank you @alienfuck_face for making this gem with us & thank you all for all of the calls to The Mechanic phone line. I really enjoyed the random conversations we’ve had over the past few days. I hope you’ve enjoyed the hidden track so far.

The kind and incredible response to “the mechanic” has kept us warm these last few days. This is one of the most important songs to me in the timeline of Amigo. I’ll post about why another day. The first snow of the year showed up last night and as someone who prefers extreme heat, I’m not usually thrilled with the cold but seeing the property as a completely different world so quickly feels like actual magic. It makes me feel like a kid. Anyway, I’m gonna go sled down the hill. If you haven’t heard the new song yet, it’s def a winter mood song so thank you for checking it out. It also works really well as a soundtrack to snow videos 😉 just saying….
Well, “The Mechanic” is officially out in the wild, which means it’s your baby now. Please feed it so it can grow! If you haven’t seen the video yet, it’s a solid glimpse into our experience while making this record exactly how I want to remember it. Even through ups and doubts and lost and founds, we always found our way back to joy and fully surrendered to whatever song we were working on..especially the depressing ones.
