One of the most over looked fighters in history is flyweight champion Welsh fighter Jimmy Wilde The Mighty Atom. Considered the hardest puncher for his weight in history. He started as a booth fighter in carnivals sometimes giving away up to 50 lbs and knocking out grown men at 15 yrs old. At 108 to 112 pounds he was a phenomenal boxer and rated the greatest flyweight in boxing history.with truly devastating punching power. In booth fights alone it was estimated he had close to 600 fights he fought professionally from 1911 to 1923. Professional wise he had 150 fights with 99 KO,s and only 4 loses he also went undefeated in 103 fights. He always looked like handsome clean cut skinny 15 yr old boy, but that’s where it ended he was universally liked by everyone, in the the ring he was precise calm deadly opponent. He peacefully passed away in 1969 in Whitechurch , Cardiff Wales his beloved country. The ghost with a hammer in his hand . One of the greats in boxing history. #cardiff #wales #jimmywilde #boxing @steveoralekim @mariolopez @paulspadaforaofficial

This is the greatest flyweight in history Jimmy Wilde as you can see he is virtually unmarked , so he lived by the boxing motto to hit and not get hit 99 knockouts proved that. #wales #jimmywilde #cardiff #boxing

One of my prize pieces are the gloves worn by Ad Wolgast for the Battling Nelson lightweight championship of the world fight on Feb 22 1910 in Point Richmond, Ca. In a scheduled 45 rd contest Wolgast won the title at 22 yrs old with a stoppage in the 40 th rd. You can see the fight on you tube. Considered one of the most brutal bloody boxing matches in history. #adwolgast #battlingnelson #pointrichmondca #boxing #feb1910 #february #febuary22
Not to forget great the young handsome Jewish bantamweight Abe Goldstein, born in the slums of New Yorks lower east side 1898 an raised in an orphanage he grew up the hard way . Abe is considered fifth greatest bantam weight of all time. He had 136 fights including newspaper decisions ,Goldstein fought some of the greatest banty’s of that time. Abe lost his title to Eddie ‘Cannonbal’ Martin. Like most boxers Goldstein lost all his savings in the crash of 29 and ended up driving a cab. He lived to the ripe age of 78.

A very rare poster that I have never seen so I had to have it I bought it from my pal legendary fight promoterJ Russell Peltz. I have the largest collection of Ad Wolgast lightweight champion from 1910 to 1912. This poster he fought Knockout Brown one of the top contenders of that era, he was cross eyed, Wolgast kept telling Brown why don’t you hit what your looking at. A great wonderful piece from the golden age of boxing. #philadelphia #knockoutbrown #adwolgast #boxing @jrussellpeltz
