King Charles III of the United Kingdom Instagram – 🇱🇰 On their final day in Colombo, The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence were welcomed to the Vajira Pillayar Kovil, a Hindu Temple and joined the Chief Priest in taking part in a special pooja blessing.

At the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s Jaawatte Cemetery, HRH attended a Service of Remembrance and lay a wreath to commemorate all who lost their lives in both World Wars.

At the British Council, The Princess heard about the organisation’s work to build relationships between the UK and Sri Lanka through education, arts and cultural ties. HRH also viewed The Arches of Awe exhibition, which features photographs of the 21 arches or ‘thoranas’ built across Colombo to welcome Queen Elizabeth II during a visit to Sri Lanka in 1954.

This evening, HRH celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relationships between the UK and Sri Lanka at a reception hosted by the British High Commissioner.
