Lady Bunny Instagram – I’m hearing on cable news that the stock market is at a record high and unemployment is low as indicators that Bidenomics is working. Then I see stuff like this. You see, when the stock market is booming, this only benefits those wealthy enough to invest. Clearly, you aren’t investing if you can barely afford rent or are homeless. To them, stock fluctuations mean zilch. Shocker: I’m not going to fault Biden alone for this. I’m going to fault all corporate politicians. They work for corporations, not you. They can be Democrats or Republicans. As a progressive, I was proud of that part of the movement. Our candidates, from Bernie to AOC, refused PAC money, suggesting that they would work harder for we the people. These new figures on unaffordable rent and rise in homelessness reminds me—you seldom hear the word poor any more. We heard that word a lot from MLK, whose birthday we just celebrated. If you don’t hear about poverty, I know you ain’t hearing no solutions to it! Trump is in real estate—you know he’s not trying to find needy people homes! Is Biden offering solutions? This was one big reason I gripe about all wars. I’d much rather have that $115 billion spent on housing for the needy than on weapons and bombs to kill people. I reckon we should’ve had our fill of that by now, right?
