To one of the all time greats. I have walked up and down Hollywood Blvd for years while I was going to school in LA. Reciting each name while doing so. Willem fits easily into the greatest figures of the “stars” all up and down the Blvd of dreams. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.

We lost one of the greatest organizers and human beings in the Anti Fracking movement and the fight against the Fossil Fuel monstrosity. He was a huge personality, full of love, and commitment. Instrumental in the fracking ban in NYS, Bernie Sander’s presidential run, the fracking movement here and abroad, and the Climate Change movement here in the USA. Lord Love You, David Braun on your way to the Heaven that you always so spoke so lovingly of.

Nobody should have to fight for the right to clean water. WINGS OF DUST focuses on Vidal Merma, an Indigenous independent journalist fighting for these very rights in his home province of Espinar/Cusco in Peru. Everything Vidal does is out of love for his son, Erik, for the Quechua people, and their infinite love for Pachamama (Mother Earth). A love for the land so deep that he risks his own life to defend it.
This powerful and moving short documentary is on the Academy Shortlist for the Best Short Doc Oscar and available for consideration in the Academy Screening Room. Directed by @Giorgioghiotto
