Mark St. Cyr Instagram – A lot’s at stake in upcoming SAG contract talks with AMPTP:

– Self Tape Regulations
– Wage Increases
– Streaming Residuals
– A.I.
– Pension & Health Contributions

SAG AFTRA represents about 160,000 members. We need 75% of eligible members to vote “YES” on the STRIKE AUTHORIZATION so that our negotiators know we have their back and they can push for the best deal possible.

The authorization doesn’t mean we will strike. It just means we’re letting the opposition know we are prepared to do so to stand up for what is right.

The contract talks officially begin on June 7th. The vote deadline is June 5th at 5pm PST. Our current SAG contract expires on June 30.

Without strong negotiations from SAG in the past actors would not be taking in the residuals we have thus far. People who came before us fought for that. We have to be willing to fight now. For ourselves and for our future members.

Non-Union actors who hope to have a career in tv/film – this is your fight too. This contract will impact whether you are able to make a living as an actor. Please spread the word.

If you’ve already voted and are sharing on your stories to help inform others – then please be sure you talk to your friends either via text or in person. This contract negotiation will be a major determining fact in whether acting as a career will continue to trend only for Nepo babies and the uber wealthy or if there’s a financial path for undiscovered actors from all backgrounds to earn their way to success.
