Well, I use @threads like I’m writing on the blank pages of Moesha’s diary. I wrote my honest and vulnerable/funny thoughts and had something to say about my industry devauling our worth. It got huge blowback. It felt like my post was a mentos, and I dropped it into a bottle of Pepsi! Maaaan, this all fuels my excitement for my solo show on off-broadway. I want and need to present my story of healing. Society has people devaluing themselves to survive, and when they have no control, they lash out at my post just to feel heard, which solves nothing. I know my worth. I know my value and what I f*cking bring to the table. People online, primarily men, compare my worth to that of an electrician or Plummer!
