Ola Salo Instagram – Time flies! One month today since the performance of “Trumpets Blow”. I’m so glad Brass Music Skåne gave me the opportunity to write for this magnificent setting. Lunds Brass Band and Petri Sångare led by conductor Jörgen Flink lifted the piece to heights beyond what I had imagined. A huge thanks also to Andreas Wetterlund who not only made the orchestration of the piece, but also developed and sophisticated my original arrangement with his deep knowledge about what brass bands and choirs can do. Last but not least a massive thanks to my friend and collegue Christopher Dominique who helped me sort out my ideas and put down my original version in notes. It was a blast!
