Paul Reubens Instagram – 🚲 “I can’t remember a time in my life where a Pee-wee/Paul project wasn’t in the backdrop,” shares Brandon Hall, who’s been stanning Pee-wee his entire life. In childhood, he got his mom to rent ‘Pee-wee’s Big Adventure’ many many times. When that video store was going out of business years later, he bought the exact copy of the movie and then had Paul sign it! 📼
🦇 “At 5 years old, I remember being so excited to see ‘Batman Returns’ because TV Guide said Paul had a cameo,” he recalls, “I can clearly remember watching it with my dad (before I could read) and insisting that he point out Paul’s name in the credits.”
📚 “When I started kindergarten, I was introduced to the school library,” Brandon reminisces about discovering ‘Big Top Pee-wee’ books. These books became a staple of his library visits, eventually gifted to him by the librarian at the end of 6th grade.
🎭 Seeing Pee-wee live on Broadway, twice!, was a dream come true. “What a thrilling moment in my life,” he reflects. You’ll see in his photo that he dressed the part! 🌟
👫 Brandon’s passion for Pee-wee extended to those around him. “I’ve successfully introduced nieces, nephews, cousins, girlfriends, co-workers, and friends to the work of Paul,” he says proudly. Meeting Paul at a convention was a highlight, as he felt a genuine appreciation for his fans.
💌 After meeting Paul, Brandon got a surprise email from him asking for his mailing address. “From Christmas 2017-2022, I received a card from him and looked forward to it every year.”
🧸 “My old Pee-wee pajamas didn’t fit anymore and my mom saved them and had them made into a keepsake bear,” he shares about a heartwarming and adorable Christmas gift. 🐻
💍 Lastly, Brandon’s story takes a romantic turn with his engagement this summer at a drive-in during ‘Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.’ “I popped the question over the radio while she was sitting in the car,” he recalls. A perfect proposal for a lifelong fan. 🎥💕
