But he lied by saying he didn’t know where the plane went down, And, as it turns out, he and a friend actually moved the plane, cut it up into smaller pieces, and dumped it at a small airport. With all of that resulting in him being stripped of his pilot’s license, Also pleading guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation, Which notably carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
