Robert Gant Instagram – There’s been a lot of heartfelt reflection lately about the TV show FRIENDS, especially following Matthew Perry’s passing. It’s caused me to recall my own experience there. (Matthew had come back on the show after focusing on recovery and things were a little tentative on set. In my brief interaction with him, he was quite kind.) I have a number of positive memories from that time that I’ll share at some point. But the reflection on it has made me even more grateful for getting to take part throughout the journey in some memorable pieces of our pop cultural fabric. Working on FRIENDS was definitely one of those. Lisa, needless to say, was awesome. (And, yes, I too still question their choice of going with the soul patch. Their idea was to make Jason more “earthy” in the opening scene as a way to sharpen the contrast for the reveal in his apartment.
