Rouzbeh Rashidi Instagram – I am currently developing a brand new series of lectures for my forthcoming masterclasses and courses. Over the course of my teaching career, I have naturally and gradually transformed my instructional approach from rigid and monotonous methods to performative, intuitive, and interactive education. I engage in the spontaneous exploration of ideas, poetic expressions, and philosophical concepts in cinema. My goal is to create a highly immersive cinematic experience rather than relying on preconceived notions about the filmmaking process. I intend to introduce my students to the tantalising realm of otherworldly cinema. I aim to guide them in exploring this radiant yet utterly desolate landscape, empowering them to navigate their unique path in the realm of filmmaking. My teachings serve as a natural extension of my practice in filmmaking. A practice that I never had or wanted within my filmmaking discourse: ‘performance art’.
