Stacy Peralta Instagram – Steve Van Doren is the indisputable soul of Vans shoes, the company his father founded decades ago and Steve remains one of skateboarding’s most ardent advocates of fun. Whenever and wherever there is a skating event or anything involving skateboarding or a celebration of skateboarding, you’ll find Steve there with his heart wide open passing around good cheer to everyone involved. He was kind and generous enough to provide us with the Vans skatepark as one of our staging grounds for the BB event and on Sunday Steve put on his chefs hat and cooked burgers and fries for everyone.
