It was such an honour to speak to will.i.am. He’s an incredible creative, and it was fascinating to see how his brain works. We spoke about his childhood, the moment he first found music, and the entrepreneurialism that has got him to where he is today.
I only knew will as the hyper-creative from on TV and music videos, so it was brilliant to draw back the curtain and hear about how he found that creativity and monetised it too. Every single one of his stories blew my mind (from founding Beats by Dre to rapping in his sex ed classes) it’s a real lesson in just putting your ideas into the ether and not worrying about if they’ll work.
