Aimee La Joie Instagram – Lydia Update:
We got to see Lydia for almost 2 hours this afternoon. She was acting very close to her normal self. She liked exploring the room we were in and got to lay on her favorite blankie. The most encouraging was she did eat some food off of my fingers, which is the first time she’s eaten since Wednesday night. She got two units of blood last night. Today her blood level was okay but her platelets are still low. It’s a very delicate balance right now as they still don’t know what the cause of all this is. I’m confident that she’s in the most capable of hands.
If you’d still like to contribute to her care, you can Venmo me at Aimee-Lajoie or use PayPal at alajoievideography@gmail.com. The donations we’ve received already have been an immense help to us. We will never be able to repay your generosity. ❤️
Aimee La Joie Instagram – WE. ARE. HOME. This has been the worst week of my life (and I’m sure for Lydia as well) We are still going to have regular check-ups, including tomorrow, and were sent home with a whole pharmacy. We are unbelievably happy and so grateful to the amazing team at Veterinary Specialty Hospital San Diego, and to everyone who donated to her care. Whether your donation was big or small, they each meant the world to us and helped us out immensely.
We still don’t know what caused all of this. Hopefully we will have some answers when her biopsy comes back.
I encourage pet owners with eligible dogs and cats to look into becoming blood donors. It’s what got her through this week.
If you’d like to contribute to her care, Venmo aimee-Lajoie or PayPal alajoievideography@gmail.com
We don’t know what lies ahead, but right now our baby is home ❤️
