Camila Morrone Instagram – This week, my dear friend, special human, and also one of our two incredible directors on @daisyjonesandthesix @nzingbling presented me with the “Breakthrough Actress” award at the @criticschoice Association honoring Black, Latino, and AAPI artists.
Nzingha directs her actors with the most compassion, empathy, warmth, protection. She created an environment that felt safe for us to expose our most vulnerable selves in front of a camera. She showed up for me this week, the way she did everyday on the set of Daisy, and I owe her deeply for it.
I am so proud to be Argentinian and American- to feel equally connected and a part of both worlds. To know the passion and pride Latinos carry so well…and to represent (insert @jlo quote) “MI GENTE LATINO”!
