Condoleezza Rice Instagram – When President @georgewbush announced PEPFAR in 2003, less than 50,000 people living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa had access to antiretroviral therapy. Today, PEPFAR has saved an estimated 25 million lives and operates in more than 50 countries.
It was an honor to join President Bush, President @jakayakikwete, and many others today in Washington to commemorate 20 years and discuss the impact it’s made in global health and development. The program stands as a shining example of humanity coming together to do good and the progress that can result when America focuses its strengths toward a common cause. 🇺🇸
