Whereas Puppy Love was a long day of writing, Call It was incredibly short—I think @matthewtishler and I wrote this song in just over an hour. It just poured from us; every first idea was the right idea, which is the feeling and flow you’re always chasing as a writer. Months later when I found myself on set (more on that later 🥹), Julia, Saylor and I had an impromptu jam that’s now one of my all-time favorite hsmtmts memories.
