Dawn McCoy Instagram – Hi from the chamber, y’all! 👋
Well…
I was gonna share our Austin therapy intensive this week – but then this week got big and busy – and here we are.
So, instead, I’m sharing a photo of us in therapy yesterday right here at home in our hyperbaric therapy chamber.
We are over 120 in-home hyperbaric dives in and – honestly – snuggling in our “cuddle chamber” is one of the best parts of our day. 🥰
We usually nap in there…
Always snuggle…
And if I’m not sleepy while he’s sleeping in there, I bring in my AirPods and meditate while he rests.
Is it working?
As with all when it comes to Waylon’s healing, only time will tell.
In the case of severe hypoxic ischemic pediatric traumatic brain injuries, many of us as parents try many things at once because – quite frankly – the earlier the intervention and therapy, the better.
So it’s hard to know what’s working and what’s not working.
But we have to try – and try it all.
Try every therapy we can – and leave the outcome up to God.
We just have no other choice.
What I DO know?
The hyperbaric chamber has only been good to us.
And as one reader messaged me once…
“My doctor said that any therapy that forces you to be still and quiet for an hour of your day can only be a good, healing, restorative thing.”
I couldn’t agree more.
It’s such a sweet, bonding, healing time for us – and even if there’s no other impact, I know that that’s good.
We’ll continue to share our experience over the years with y’all as we practice hyperbaric therapy, but for now…
I am just so grateful to everyone who made this healing treatment possible.
We believe, we believe, WE BELIEVE.🩵🩷
