Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi Instagram – It’s not every day that an Oscar-winning director/producer comes to class — but @BPerlmutt’s documentary filmmaking course got to experience just that when Elizabeth @ChaiVasarhelyi ’00 stopped by. 🎬 Amidst the release of her latest project @NyadMovie, Elizabeth spoke with the @princetonarts class about her movie making process, and also screened the new film at @princetongarden. “Nyad” tells the story of @diananyad who takes on the “Mount Everest” of swims — the 110-mile trek from Cuba to Florida. The movie is Elizabeth’s first narrative feature. @freesolofilm, co-produced by Jimmy Chin, earned Elizabeth a Best Documentary Feature at @theoscars in 2019.
