I can only describe The Secret History as a perfect book and I can’t believe it took me so long to pick it up. I fell in love with every character in People Person and (as with anything Zadie Smith writes) I adored The Fraud. Susan Cain’s Quiet is a fascinating study on introversion but my favourite has to be Dancing in the Dark by Joan Barfoot. I can put my finger on exactly why I loved it so much… but I can’t wait to read it again 😌
