Emelie Forsberg Instagram – In a world increasingly conscious of environmental impact, addressing and minimizing our carbon footprint has become a crucial step towards a sustainable future. My personal carbon footprint 2023 was 7.4. Higher than 2018, 2019,2020,2021 and 2022. 

I think we all know the basics; Reducing energy consumption at home, opting for eco-friendly transportation, less big travels, less consumptions, embracing a plant-based diet. Those are just a few steps taken to mitigate my environmental impact. Small, consistent changes contribute to a significant reduction over time.

Exploring alternative energy sources, such as solar or wind power, is another avenue for those looking to make a substantial impact. Investing in renewable technologies not only lessens reliance on fossil fuels but also sets the stage for a greener, more sustainable future.

Engaging in community initiatives and supporting eco-conscious businesses further amplifies the collective effort towards sustainability. By choosing products with minimal packaging, promoting local produce, and participating in environmental advocacy, we actively contribute to the global push for a healthier planet.

Monitoring and assessing personal progress regularly is crucial. Utilizing carbon footprint calculators, like the one that initially measured my impact, allows for ongoing adjustments and improvements. Embracing a sustainable lifestyle is an evolving process, and the journey towards a reduced carbon footprint is as important as the destination.

In conclusion, the pursuit of sustainability is a shared responsibility. A carbon footprint of 7.4 is not an endpoint but a starting point for positive change. Through mindful choices and continuous effort, we can collectively forge a path towards a more sustainable and resilient world.

To be a part of @nnormal_official I feel truly honoured and lucky and I guess also proud over the work I’ve done and still doing to be able to perform at the highest level. 
Nnormal is so much more than a new brand, the work the team do to find the best solutions to be as sustainable as possible is remarkable. I see it from the closest distance with @kilianjornet as my husband ❤️
Also Kilian really inspire me to keep working and exploring myself as an athlete, human and environmentalist.

The team inspires me to show up and do the work, and they also understand my vision of trying to reduce travel but still be an international athlete ( tricky thing this 🤪) and also the fact that first and foremost I’m a mother and my girls will always and forever come first.

These are some glimpses from the year. And my appreciation to be a part of the Nnormal community!
