I volunteer with @cry.sishelpline and received support from them myself when I became a parent.
We are witnessing a mental health crisis for parents and want to make sure everyone has a kind, listening ear when they need one to get them through whatever situation they face. To keep parents and babies safe. This can be a simple as talking through how it feels when your baby won’t settle (that’s one of the reasons I called them).
The Cry-sis Helpline is a FREE listening ear to anyone struggling in early parenthood. The NHS refers people to the helpline and website but we need enough volunteers to make sure there is always someone at the end of the phone.
If you are a parent who has come out the other side of those challenging early years and could help others through the thick of it (from home/at times that suit you/with huge flexibility) then WE NEED YOU. Training and support is provided to all volunteers.
