I was met with so much doubt & negativity when I told people I was going to Direct my first film, that I had written, and also Produce it AND also play the lead Actress 🥲
I get it. It’s A LOT of jobs. A LOT of responsibilities. And for SOME PEOPLE- it might be too much. But for me? Never.
And for you? Maybe you can do it too 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Don’t let anyone else’s opinion put you off dreaming so BIG it scares people! 🎥✨
Let me share some pearls of wisdom from my multi role adventure:
⚠️ PREPARE PREPARE & PREPARE some more!! Even if it’s in your head & not written down- you need to KNOW your project better than anyone!
⚠️ Get an AMAZING team around you! I couldn’t have made @mybabycriesfilm without the incredible skills & support of @benthompsonfilms the solid acting from @_oliverasante_ & @meganrosemusicuk & the all round solid crew who came together to make it happen including Editing from @editor_emmalie a beautiful score from @gabyamblercomposer my co-producer @iamleightrifari script consultant @jamesalexanderallen & everyone else ♥️✨
⚠️ Surround yourself in positive energy. People who believe in you. People who support you. You will probably have wobbly moments, like I did, but you need to hold onto that FAITH 🙏🏼✨
And maybe in the end, you’ll be holding onto all your trophies 🏆🏆🏆🏆
