Today The Climate Book is finally released in many parts of the world! I want to use my platform to share the reality of the climate crisis – to communicate a holistic picture of how the world is changing and what we need to do about it. That is why I created this book. With over 100 incredible contributors – experts, activists and authors (swipe to see the full list) – it highlights many of the different faces of the crises we face, and aims to connect the dots between them. I will not earn any money from this book as my copyright belongs to the Greta Thunberg Foundation. So all royalties go to charity.
I want to send a massive thank you to all the contributors for your invaluable expertise and stories, as well as to everyone who made this possible! And a special thanks to my fantastic editors Chloe Currens and Cristopher Richards.

Week 284. Today we are many protesting in The Hague outside the International Court of Justice as it will deliver its order on the request for the indication of provisional measures, submitted by South Africa. Israel – as well as those who support Israel’s brutal attacks and occupation – must be held accountable for their actions. We cannot remain silent during a genocide. #StandWithGaza #FreePalestine #CeasefireNow
I have spent the last one year and a half putting together a book with over 100 contributors that will share expertise and experiences from people all over the world. These crises are the biggest story in the world, and they must be spoken as far and wide as our voices can carry, and much further still.
“Our so-called leaders still think they can bargain with physics and negotiate with the laws of nature. They speak to flowers and forests in the language of US dollars and short-term economics. They hold up their quarterly income reports to impress the wild animals. They read stock-market analysis to the waves of the ocean, like fools.
We are approaching a precipice. And I would strongly suggest that those of us who have not yet been greenwashed out of our senses stand our ground. Do not let them drag us another inch closer to the edge. Not one inch. Right here, right now, is where we draw the line.”
Some excerpts from The Climate Book have been published in The @Guardian . Read the full text in the link in my bio.

This Saturday we were over 1000 people who blocked and disrupted the Farnborough airport – one of the busiest private jet airports in Europe – to protest against their planned expansion and against private jets. This airport has an average of 2,5 passengers per plane, and 40% of their flights fly empty.
The fact that using private jets is both legally and socially allowed today in an escalating climate emergency is completely detached from reality. There are few examples that as clearly show how the rich elite is sacrificing present and future living conditions on this planet so that they can maintain their extreme and violent lifestyles.

The Pakistani state has been oppressing Baloch people for more than seven decades, using different tactics such as displacement of indigenous communities from their lands, extrajudicial executions, enforced disappearances of teacher, doctors, students and other civilians including children and elderly people.
Baloch women have been leading a long march from last 56 days from Turbat, Balochistan to Islamabad, Pakistan against state atrocities and human rights violations in Balochistan.
Their sit-in protest is still continued outside Islamabad press club demanding justice from the authorities and the release of their loved ones.
Climate justice is anti-colonial, opposing oppression and advocating for the decolonization of indigenous lands. It recognizes that historical colonial practices have often exploited indigenous territories and communities for resource extraction and profit, perpetuating environmental injustices.
The online petition linked in my bio is a crucial part of their campaign against Baloch genocide. By signing and sharing this petition you can contribute to their movement against Baloch genocide!

We need a loss and damage finance facility. We need climate justice. We need action.
Time is running out, which is why decision makers need to step up at #COP27
