Hailey Kilgore Instagram - Thank-you to the people who have supported the beginning chapters of my music journey thus far… From Hold Me my first single EVER and personally my favorite song I have ever written (until the next one comes along 🤣), Worth It, Miss U, and Desire and Devotion as my first lil mini project. I was always filming something or working on another project (because I’m blessed AF and that doesn’t land lightly on me). Stepping out on my own and literally being the one in the drivers seat for my true love and gift was TERRIFYING. There were a lot of challenges just to put the first EP out. I remember on release day last March just being so excited when I saw the first active listener (WHOEVER YOU ARE THANK YOU 💕✨). I thought to myself “Okay maybe this is something I really could do and be kinda good at”. I had gotten used to pouring into other peoples projects, ideas, and expectations. But I didn’t know how to do that for myself. In true HK fashion I immediately had notes and critiques for myself and what I would do/could do to get better for the next writing session, studio session, release. I never took the time to go “I fucking did that!!”. I kept my head down and was back in the studio by like.. The following Monday 🤣. Then the strikes hit.. I went home and I got to LIVE and be a young twenty-something in NYC. I went to therapy and started watching cooking classes. I was put myself in rooms surrounded with love and joy, and lots of dancing. I had deep talks with strangers and learned new things about people I have known my whole damn life! I got better. I got older. I know that sounds dramatic but I haven’t really lived “normal” since I was like 9 years old! I met myself and I discovered that she lowkey dope AF. Anyways 🤷🏾‍♀️.. Life’s lows and highs are crazy. Heartbreak will absolutely happen in more ways than one but you keep going. As weird as it may feel growing up can be really fun! Please PLEASE don’t forget to pour into and bet on YOURSELF. This next chapter is gonna be a celebration! I wish I knew who every supporter was so I could meet y’all and share what we’ve got cooking! But I guess I’ll wait a lil bit longer. Tysm 💕✨
