HercuSleaze Instagram – I performed my photobooth act at Toronto Pride this past weekend! Many of my drag friends don’t know that I’m also a graphic novelist and that I wrote a 280 page book about the history of photobooths!! 🌈 An unintended side effect of these automatic, private photo-taking machines was that they became a safe space for queer couples, most of whom would have never been allowed to be photographed lovingly together until then.
Now I’m working on adapting my book into in a major feature-length documentary! 🎥 It’s gonna be told through a very queer lens, so the drag community will play a part in it as well! We’ve been shooting here and there but we’ll officially be in production this fall, so lots of fun updates to come!!
If you’re interested in buying the book you can order it on my Etsy, link in bio ❤️
