* It dictates that every vehicle can only have one active FASTag linked to it.
* Previously, some users were misusing the system by either having multiple FASTags for one vehicle or using a single FASTag for multiple vehicles.
* This caused confusion, inaccuracies in toll collection, and encouraged potential evasion of charges.
Why is it important?
* Promotes transparency and accountability: Ensures every vehicle is uniquely identified and its toll transactions are accurately recorded.
* Improves efficiency at toll plazas: Reduces confusion and delays at toll booths, leading to smoother traffic flow.
* Prevents misuse and evasion: discourages individuals from exploiting the system for unfair advantage.
* January 31, 2024 is the last date for complying with the “One Vehicle, One FASTag” rule.
* Any additional FASTags linked to a vehicle must be deactivated or surrendered to the issuing bank by this date.
* Non-compliance could lead to blacklisting of the FASTag and potential penalties.
How to Update KYC?

your Fastag
2️⃣ Go to the above mentioned website
📌Login through mobile number
📌Go to ‘My Profile’ and check your KYC status
📌Else select ‘KYC’ then select ‘Customer Type’
