There isn’t a day I don’t count my blessings and put my family, friends, and health at the top of this earthly list. Next is work and laughter — especially work that helps people feel better or more themself—whether it’s with their own family or their chosen one. The gifts from Friends even nearly 30 years later still gives me so much hope! I know the world is challenging for so many right now. Banning dictionaries so we can’t look up words like equity, inclusion, diversity, or democracy. Banning books with two mommies or two daddies when love is love and a family who loves is better than any family bred to hate. I never would have thought all these years later that our sweet storyline with TV’s first lesbian wedding would still be helping, but I’m so glad it is. I am grateful for creativity helping lovers win. I’ve not posted anything about Friends since Matty’s passing, but in the intersection of better mental health support for all and making the world a lot better, I pray we all can speak up with and for love, for one another and ourselves.
