Today is the day I was asked to repost my post from a couple of weeks ago by some groups of animal / horse lovers (NYC) (Philly) that saw it. Here it is again!!
“Too many accidents involving carriage horses in city environments, being vulnerable in city traffic / pollution, overheating and some horses like Ryder even dying on the pavement in the middle of Manhattan on the hottest day. (google “Ryder’s Law”)
We need to be more progressive and have more empathy for carriage horses now that we are in the 2Ist century!! We owe it to all the suffering animals who shouldnt have had pay with their lives. Many have suggested electric carriages – so coachmen could stay employed. Yes!! Sure!! Let’s consider the many options that don’t involve animals at all!! 💔💔🙏🙏❤️❤️”
