Jennifer Esposito Instagram – It’s been the hardest year with some of the DARKEST days I’ve EVER had- and that’s saying a lot. It’s also been the most proud year of my entire life as well though. Deeply proud of finally allowing myself to do what I knew I was capable of. Not what others believed of me. NONE one of which came even kinda easy- and I’m still breaking my ass to get Fresh Kills what it deserves. With all the work and bullshit that gets thrown at you – you sometimes can forget how far you’ve come. Someone reminded me the other day after seeing The I’m Sorry Monolgues that I created with @alicia_coppola from a conversation we had- she said “I don’t know who else can say they had a standing ovation at LaMama AND at their movie premiere that they wrote and directed – ALL in ONE year” . I was dumbstruck. I hadn’t realized that at all. The journey gets so soul crushing and deeply painful at times we forget to take the wins and really FEEL them. Thank you for reminding me of this. I’m posting so I don’t forget again. To everyone who offered up a kind word of support this year- I’m deeply grateful. More than you know. Amd to all of my artists friends- JUST- KEEP- GOING! What wins are you forgetting? Own them, celebrate them and be proud, damn it
