Keke Palmer Instagram – Hey guys. I may be late to the party, but Betty Reid Soskin has truly inspired me. She represents everything I want to be and that I’ve worked to become, me. I have had to accept time and time again that I will never be what others want me to be, especially as a woman and that that’s okay. That even more so as a woman and a woman of color, being who I am in front of whoever is exactly what my life is about. As a mother, that hits even greater because I want my son to see me as a person with courage. A person that went for it. A person that loved themselves enough to accept who they are at every point in their life. Just watching the video of her in my story alone has re-encouraged me to continue to be ALL that I am and to be okay with those that do not understand. Simply, because my vision is my own. It’s selfish to put your feelings above another but it isn’t selfish to want to do things that are greater than yourself. That is, when you are yourself you help give others permission to do the same. To be who you are is to know oneself and to know yourself is to be intentional in servitude of the most high. God wants us to love ourselves because in that we find our purpose. Purpose, gives us strength to spread our wings! And that helps us all fly, like Betty! I’m flying and I promise I won’t touch the ground until God says it’s time. If you think you want to do too much, know that somewhere someone is wondering the same thing. Go for it, they need to see you do it! Your push is their push and we are here to show each other. I’m doing my best and God and my son/family inspire me to never give up 🙏🏾♥️
