Kelsey Edwards Instagram – 2023 was a beautiful year of learning growth.
i took the longest trip i’ve done so far and spent two months solo in SE Asia. Bali, Thailand and Vietnam were an absolute dream ✨
i performed Life in a Box to an event full of people who resonated with its message. i got to hear their stories and how the song impacted them. 🥲
i learned which people things deserve more of my time and which deserve less. i also took some leaps of faith 👋🏼
i had 3 premieres for projects i’m in and/or helped make: The Counterfeit Kid, @underdevshow and Box Boy. premiering Box Boy at @filmquest was one of the biggest highlights of my entire year.
i said goodbye to two of my aunts ❤️🩹
i learned how difficult and time-consuming post production on a movie is.
i stopped going to fitness classes, started lifting heavier and conquered my fear of “normal” gyms.
i learned that my art impacts people and to stop doubting my power as a creator.
i learned that i don’t have to “box” myself in to one role or title. i get to do a lot of things (too many things in fact.. more on that in the coming weeks 😉) and i get to be successful at them all too.
i did a lot of auditions and worked on many sets, despite there being a strike. everything i participated in was either a commercial or had a waiver. 🎬
i reallyyyy focused (and still am) on building better habits. skin care, masks, journaling, meditating, reading, daily weekly planning, walks, reg gym attendance, eating a lot of protein, gratitude affirmations, podcasts and habit stacking are some things i prioritized. some of these i’m still working on being consistent at, so i will continue to bring this focus into 2024.
my mom and Lee (mom’s husb) came out to LA to help me re-decorate my room & i LOVE it.
like always, i invested in coaching and training to help me become the best version of myself.
i wrote the script for my next project 👀
i tested the waters with clothes and am slowly finding my style. i got 3 new pairs of Nikes this year—sorry not sorry 🙃
i was on a lot of podcasts and had some fun interviews.
overall, i became a better version of myself in 2023. i’m proud of that, and i vow to do the same in 2024 🫡 | Posted on 03/Jan/2024 12:03:25
